It’s time for the best Brooklyn Nine-Nine tradition: The Halloween Heist episode. Starting in the first season, the members of the 99th precinct have participated in increasingly complex heist scenarios on the spooky holiday, each with a twist ending. In this year’s fifth heist they’re competing for the title of “Amazing Human/Genius,” after the precinct’s civilian employee Gina (Chelsea Peretti) won Season 4’s caper and made them sub “human” for “detective.”
Patton Oswalt: Annihilation
The comedian is back on Netflix for another stand-up special (his Emmy-winning Thanks For Clapping debuted in 2016). This time around, Oswalt gets deeply personal, as he digs into the year following the death of his wife. The one-hour special was filmed at Chicago’s Athenaeum Theatre.
ABC, 8 ET/PT
The endearing family sitcom, in its ninth and final season, is having a lot of fun on its way out. Frankie (Patricia Heaton) is happy when Axl (Charlie McDermott) invites her and Mike (Neil Flynn) to meet his girlfriend Lexie’s (Daniela Bobadilla) parents, played by Lisa Rinna and Gregory Harrison. Brick (Atticus Shaffer) participates in a school fundraiser where students arrest and bail each other out for charity, but he can’t seem to get himself arrested.
